Ascona is a small delightful town with a picturesque historical center and many exquisite shops, boutiques, museums and art galleries. It is located at the beautiful Lago Maggiore surrounded by scenic mountains. The Mediterranean climate, the cultural heritage, the ambiance provided by the Ticinese people, together with the magnificent view of the natural bay and the large traffic free pedestrian zone make Ascona a highly enjoyable holiday resort.

Monte Verità "the Mountain of Truth" is located on a beautiful hill above Ascona. It was founded around 1900 by a group of idealists, whose wish was the return to a natural way of life. Among the settlers were revolutionaries, philosophers, writers, poets, dancers and painters of international fame, who intended to reach a highly cultural and spiritual ideal. Parts of the Monte Verità campus has recently been converted into a conference center featuring excellent lecture and meeting facilities.

Solar Eclipse
